Refund Policy
Effective Date: 2025-12-10
Last Updated: 2025-12-10
Applies to: Free and Pro subscriptions processed via Paddle
1. General Principles
MistSeeker Coder is a digital, on-premise software product.
Once downloaded or activated, it cannot technically be returned.
This policy is intended to align with applicable consumer protection standards and digital content rules, including Paddle's buyer protection framework and relevant digital content regulations.
Account & Minimal Data
To provide account access and license support, Convia may collect limited account information, including:
- nickname (display name)
- email address
- password (stored in a secure, hashed form)
Mandatory 14-Day Refund Window
In accordance with Paddle's consumer protection requirements, purchases may include a 14-day refund window.
However, refunds may be limited once the product has been downloaded, a license has been issued, or activation has occurred.
2. Non-Refundable Conditions
A refund cannot be issued if any of the following are true:
- The installer has been downloaded
- A license key has been issued or activated
- The Pro version has been accessed at least once
- The current subscription month has begun
- A subscription has been renewed
Because activation may bind the license to the user's local environment, on-premise licenses may be difficult or impossible to revoke after activation.
3. Refundable Conditions
A refund may be granted only if:
- Payment was completed, but no download occurred
- No license key was issued
- No license activation occurred
- Duplicate payments were made
- Paddle processed an incorrect charge
In such cases, Convia will request Paddle to issue the refund.
4. Technical Issues
If technical issues prevent activation or proper usage, Convia will provide:
- Technical support
- Replacement license (if applicable)
- Installation assistance
- Necessary patches or fixes
If the issue is demonstrated to be unrelated to the user's environment and cannot be resolved within a reasonable period, a refund may be granted at the Company's discretion in coordination with Paddle.
5. Subscription Refunds
- Charged periods are non-refundable
- Cancellation stops future renewals only
- No partial refunds for unused days or mid-cycle cancellations
6. Misuse or Abuse
Refunds may be denied if Convia detects:
- License sharing
- Unauthorized redistribution
- Excessive or suspicious activations
- Tampering or reverse-engineering attempts
- Abuse of the refund system
- Fraudulent behavior
